Last week, in a slightly ill-advised bout of online spending, I went and got me a dot mac account. I think I was still buzzing off my newly purchased Powerbook (no, not the intel one stupid!). Anyways, I've now got said account but I'm really not sure that I'll use it in any great capacity. At least not to justify the 60-odd quid that it cost. So, what can I now do that I couldn't do before?. Well...I can use Apple's Iweb software that comes bundled with Tiger (not half as good as dreamweaver on first impression), I now get a swanky .mac email address (yawn) I get some virtual I disk space (doesn't like shunting mp3's around does it?) and finally I get some very swift publish-to-web functionality straight from Garageband ( actually, this is cool but when was the last time I did a podcast). I'm gonna sleep on it but if something doesn't convince me to hang on to.mac by noon tommorow that cash is going right back in the account.
